Original era manufacture. A German made bayonet, with a faint makers name on the reverse ricasso, I believe it is Simson & Co. Suhl. Ten inch polished steel blade with a humpbacked tang, wood grips secured with flush-ground steel rivets. Steel patina finish to the pommel and guard, sound black leather bodied scabbard with steel throat and chape, with a well used, but intact, belt frog.
