Original era manufacture. A well made Spanish Artillery Bolo with a 12 inch polished steel blade, blue steel finished guard and pommel, with checkered wood grips and a spring steel scabbard lock on the top of the grip. Black leather bodied scabbard with a blue finished steel throat and chape.  Used by both sides during the Spanish Civil War.This example displays considerable age staining to both sides of the blade, but no real corrosion issues. The leather scabbard body is in poor condition, but still keeps the throat and chape together.
