Original era manufacture. Massive, 20 inch polished steel blade with a sawback spine. The blade is quite clean with light scattered spotting and graying. The French influenced brass hilt is markd VAUD (a Canton in Western Switzerland) and numbered 917. Brass mounted black leather scabbard and frog. Very nice old weapon.
