Original era manufacture. Massive sawback bayonet with a 19 inch steel blade and saw edge spine. Maker marked on the ricasso, Elsener Schwyz. The blade displays a bright steel finish with light age staining but no corrosion issues, bright and clean overall.Bright steel patina finish guard and pommel with sound wood grips, old cleaned corrosion staining to the pommel, with remnants of a nickel plating visible.Black leather bodied scabbard in sound condition, with a steel throat and chape, displaying an old nickel finish.
