Original era manufacture. Massive sawback bayonet with a 19 inch steel blade and saw edge spine. Maker marked on the ricasso, Elsener Schwyz. The blade displays a dark steel patina with evidence of scattered cleaned surface pitting and a few nicks in the cutting edge. Clean steel patina finish guard and pommel with sound wood grips. The scabbard is free of dents but has a post production applied black paint finish.
