Original period manufacture. Massive, Swiss made Pioneer bayonet, with a 19 inch polished steel blade with a sawback spine. The blade is bright and clean with a little bit of discoloration at the point. Clear markings on the ricasso, HSW 1936 with a small Swiss cross.Sound original finish wooden grips, with a brightly polished steel finish to the guard and pommel.Variant pattern scabbard of brown leather with blue steel throat and chape, Kiesling refers to as the M1906. A nice quality bayonet in very clean condition.
