Item #63085 : Original era manufacture. German made sword by Alexander Coppel, Solingen, as used by Belgian Civil Guard units of the Chasseuer a' Cheval circa 1905. Double edged polished steel blade measuring 37 inches in length. Pierced steel guard, with a pillow type pommel. Fishskin wrapped grip bound with single strand twisted wire. Steel scabbard displaying denting from service use, replaced suspension ring.
