Item #69696 : Original period manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 31 inches in length with a light factory etching on both sides of the blade. Runs straight and true with no issues. Gilded brass clam shell guard, one side folds up for wear. Twisted wire wrapped grip, no makers logo. Brass mounted leather bodied scabbard with no breaks in the leather. Regulation officer's sword until 1889.
