Item #54802 : Original era manufacture. US WWII AD-14, U.S.S. Dixie metal ship model, 1942-1945, a 1975 dated ceramic ship's wheel and anchor for the USS Dixie reunion in Louisville Kentucky, wallet sized, Order of the Golden Dragon membership card for the USS Dixie dated 1949, named to Stanley E Rosenthal EM3c , 1946 dated newspaper clippings regarding the winning of the Iron Man award by the Dixie, lastly a photocopy of the grave stone of Mr. Rosenthal. The USS Dixie was a destroyer tender built prior to WWII, seeing continuous service in the Pacific during WWII. Stanley Rosenthal, EM3c, served aboard the USS Effingham, APA-165, from November 1944-1946, and USS Dixie 1946-1949. The USS Effingham was a Haskell class Attack Transport, which took part in the invasion of Okinawa in April 1945.
