Original era manufacture. A full length example, retaining its unaltered 18" polished steel blade. The blade is bright, with markings in Arabic and date on its reverse ricasso which I believe is 1892. The muzzle opening measures 15.5 mm. There are small areas of cleaned corrosion pitting, but nothing unexpected in an old surplus bayonet, with clear sun and crescent moon on the spine.Cleaned steel patina guard and pommel with sun and moon proofs, and areas of old cleaned surface corrosion. Lock button works properly. The original wood grips are sound, showing typical battering from handling and service use.Sound black leather bodied scabbard with bright steel throat and chape, with intact seam stitching.
