British Pre WWI, Issue, Enlisted Four Pocket Red Wool Service Coat, 1909

Item #50722 : Original era manufacture. British pre WWI red wool Royal Army service coat. Dated 1909 and manufactured by The Royal Army Clothing Factory. Brass General Service buttons throughout, white cotton sleeve lining, with a white partial body lining.Size is about a 40 Long, the lower pocket flaps are sewn shut, the upper pockets are operable. No real moth issues to report, generally with a coat of this age there usually are, this one does not disappoint. There is a single 5mm moth hole on the reverse of the left arm, and some scattered areas of surface crazing and that's about it. The front of the coat displays surface staining but looks as it is on top of the fabric, not deep inside.
