French Pre WWI Banking Officials Coat, Ville de Paris CN Buttons
Item #63536 : Original era manufacture. Royal blue wool, collar less frock coat with the front displaying an allotment for seven 30mm large pattern domed buttons (one is missing) each displaying the words Ville de Paris with the letters CN in the center. The buttons are non-functioning as there are no corresponding button holes on the other side of the coat. White heavy cotton lining having a Warner Brothers Wardrobe inkstamp, and a date of Mai 1910 on the lower left corner of the lining. Inside the coat, below the belt line are two very large open top pockets, the one on the wearer's left being reinforced with leather. The openings measure 13 inches and extend to a depth of 14 inches. On the outside of the coat are two similar exterior pockets but with flaps. Minimal moth issues, size a 40 regular. I did a quick check on EBAY and found a button dealer advertising a single similar button for over $60!
