Item #68753 : Original period manufacture. Standard pattern forest green wool service coat retaining it's full complement of USMC enlisted pattern buttons. Full green cotton body and sleeve lining, with handsewn repairs to the lining around the arm openings. Stenciled onto the interior sleeve lining of the right arm is the name L.A. Baumgartner. No moth issues to speak of, the collar has never been pierced for collar discs, size about a 38 long. Ancestry provides USMC muster rolls for a Leo A. Baumgartner from November 1918 to June 1931, with most of the listings showing his assignment to the 9th Reserve Regiment, Central Reserve Area, companies I, L & M. Should be fun doing the research.
