Original era manufacture. A commercially made Bowie style blade, measuring 7 inches in length, with a very sharp cutting edge.The guard and ferrule are of cast brass with a simple decorative design. Carved wooden grip, which fits the hand well, and displays a carved design on the pommel. Simple dark leather sheath of riveted and sewn construction.
