Original era manufacture. Unadorned chromed steel blade measure 28 inches in length, running straight and true, displaying the Pasquale name on the ricasso. Black painted wooden grip bound with a single strand of twisted brass wire. Ornately decorated cast brass three branch guard, with pommel cap. Chrome finished steel scabbard with gilded brass fittings. The scabbard is dent free, with some lifting of the plating below the second suspension band. Pasquale & Co. were founded in 1854 and for many years were the only military outfitter on the west coast.
