Original period manufacture. Ridabock contract blue wool covered cork helmet with a removable spike and base with a NYNG helmet plate at front. The cork body is fairly sound, no cracks or breaks, just wear to the edge binding, and a little weak spot on the front visor. Pinwheel ventilators on each side of the body with Infantry chinstrap buttons. Complete leather sweatband with a cloth covered interior showing names of previous soldier owners. Replaced black leather adjustable chinstrap.
