Original era manufacture. Pinback, with a simple, non-locking C-clasp. With thedate April 6, 1917 with the numbers 750949 engraved on the reverse of the cross, the date that the USA entered WWI. Engraved on the reverse of the suspension bar is the name J.T. Goff. Lots of hits on Ancestry for a John T. Goff who served in the Marines during this era. While an Army pattern award, these were also used by the Marine Corps.
