Original era manufacture. OK, what this wants to be, is an 1895 pattern, Army Officers undress coat, representing a 2nd Lieutenant of Cavalry. What it is, is a similar era, but made for Fraternal use in black wool, rather than dark army blue. Pasquale tag in the inside pocket, and both of the original dark yellow wool shoulder straps have Pasquale labels on their undersides. Pinned to the left breast of the coat is an original period, two-place ribbon bar for Spanish Campaign (1st Style Ribbon) and Philippine Campaign. Early style gilded brass, pinback, US collar insignia without locking clasps, lastly, a proper fitting celluloid collar liner. The coat is moth-free and is a snug 40 long. First class quality throughout and displays very nicely.
