Original era manufacture. Awarded for service during the Spanish American War in 1898. Full wrap brooch suspension, numbered on the edge 22350, and with extra ribbon and ribbon bar. It comes with part of its original Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot issue box which is also numbered 22350.The medal is clean, however the left side of the suspension bar is cracked and broken, the ribbon has a newish look to it, perhaps damaged when an attempt at replacement was done. The serial number falls outside the range of numbers which are researchable at this time.
