Original era manufacture. Larger pattern tan canvas haversack adopted in 1902 when the larger haversacks went from being worn on the shoulder, to being attached to the ammunition belt. Two brass hooks on the reverse to attach to the belt grommets.Clear U.S. stencil on the exterior, ink stamped 1 N.H. C 49 on the interior, normal age and wear.
