Original era manufacture. May 8 1932 cancellation for the Coast to Coast voyage of the USS Akron.The USS Akron and her sister ship the USS Macon are among the largest flying objects every built. The Akron was destroyed in a storm off of New Jersey in 1933, resulting in the loss of 73of her 76 man crew.Envelope shows normal handling and wear with numerous cancellations front and back.
