Original era manufacture. US Fraternal sword and sheath. W. Clauberg, Solingen maker and imported by G. F. Foster of Chicago. Etched into the scabbard are the letters A.O.U.W. (Ancient Order of United Workmen), a fraternal society formed in 1868. The etched steel blade measures 28 inches in length, runs straight and true, with the name R. Schmus on one side, and the letters A.O.U.W. on the other. Painted wooden grip with a knights head pommel. Normal age and wear.
