Original era manufacture. Another old Arizona territorial relic we have owned for many, many years, this time purchased at Friendship House Antiques in Prescott Arizona in the late 1970's. Friendship House Antiques was located on White Spar Road, built entirely of local rock, and once served as a Gas Station when the only road into Prescott came in from Yarnell.Friendship House was always a must-visit place for Terri and I, visiting there often on our many trips to Prescott, and I do not think we ever left there without buying something. The owners, both now long gone, were wonderful people and we soon became friends with them. In fact, they wanted T and I to purchase their place when they retired, we seriously considered it too...the path not taken.Sorry for the ramble, but it is a very pleasant memory...the belt is of all leather construction with a painted finish, it measures 43 inches in length, and is in overall very sound condition. It remains very pliable, with just one small weak spot on the top edge of the belt, but is not in danger of breaking if handled properly. The elderly couple who owned Friendship House didn't travel much, and relied on the local area to supply them with collectibles to sell. I have no doubt this belt was from a local volunteer FD back in the day, maybe even the one that Bucky O'Neill was the Captain of, who knows, no way to prove it but fun to speculate about.
