US Bronze, Two Piece Eagle & Wreath Medallion

Original era manufacture. We are not quite sure what this exactly is, but we can say that it is very well made. Two pieces, a bronze laurel wreath and a convex disc with a raised American eagle at center.The disc fits inside the wreath, and apparently the two were affixed at one point. Measures 3.25 inches in width. No idea of its age, but certainly not current. Came out of an old Arizona collection we purchased about three years ago.
