Original period photography. A clear shipboard image taken by a local Hong Kong photographer Yee Chun, of a young Marine, possibly on board the USS Baltimore. Small clip in the lower right corner, with no damage to the image save for some foxing on the lower left edge. At the very top edge of the mount, reverse side, is a name which appears to be Frank Roll. Doing a quick look on Ancestry 7 listings appear for a Frank, or Frank B Roll from January to June 1903, with two listings mentioning the Baltimore. In 1904 the USS Baltimore was assigned to the Far East Station in late 1904-1907. Should be a fun bit of research.
