Original era photography and manufacture. US Civil War 1/6 plate Ambrotype of a Union Soldier. He is shown seated with the brim of his forage cap turned up, with a pistol and bowie knife tucked into his belt. The image is slightly darkened from age but the details are very clear. The image resides in a very nice union case with a patriotic theme on its cover. The case displays typical edge knocks but no real damage or missing portions.
