Original period manufacture. Good quality pair of Civil War era Federal officers dress epaulettes in the rank of 1st Lieutenant. The gold fringe is in very sound condition for their age with some very minor snagging on the right side and on the left about five strands are missing from the front row, no gaping holes so they look fine for display. Red silk and moroccan leather lined undersides in general good order considering their age. Great looking Federal eagle buttons on each.
