Original era photography and manufacture. A crystal clear, lightly tinted Ambrotype image in a 1/6 plate size, mounted in its original Patriotic Union Case. The original period paper label behind the image states that the case was made by Littlefield and Parsons. The seated soldier is wearing an Infantry 9 button frock coat, and tucked into his belt is a Colt type pocket model percussion revolver. There is some light chipping along the edges of the case, but no real damage.
