Original period manufacture. Clear 9th plate ferrotype, or tintype, depicting a Union Drummer Boy & his drum. Half frame with original brass matting. At one time this was in a CDV type mount, likely placed in an album back in the day. At some point in time it was removed, the backing was trimmed down to fit this style case. Clean and clear image.
