Original era manufacture. A sound pair of dress epaulettes rigged out for a Lieutenant Colonel of the 9th Artillery. Muted patina finish to the tops, minor wear to the fringe (no fraying), with the undersides showing some age and wear. Comes with it's original steel storage box, on the top of which is a partial label reading "Lieut Col. C..." . The box is sound, one of the interior partitions is loose, and the locking loop is missing. Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Wisconsin and the Regular Army all had 9th regiments of Artillery. This set came out of an old collection in upstate New York, so a possibility of further research remains.
