Original era manufacture. Tinned steel body with six concentric ring design on each side. Soldered pewter spot with faint makers markings on the side, intact cork stopper with attaching chain intact.Slipped through the three soldered strap loops on the body, is a very vintage looking pale tan canvas shoulder strap. The strap displays honest age and wear, but I do not feel it is contemporary to the canteen. Minor denting to the canteen body, with minimal surface corrosion.
