Original era manufacture. A sound Cavalry pattern cartridge box complete with the inner wood block, and both belt loops present. The flap cover is pliable, with light scuffing to the edges. The leather still creaks. Clear makers stamp on the interior flap, J.I.Pittman NY. Both belt loops are present, none have pulled away from the body. Sling buckles and brass closure stud are also present. The flap securing strap is present and unbroken, but being of thinner leather the hole has elongated and torn a bit.
