While digging through some boxesfrom an old-timeUS collection we purchased last summer, I found this envelope containing two Civil War era soldier CDV's and a GAR Postcard.The sepia image CDV's each show full length views of Union soldiers, 1 single, and 1 pair.The top edge of the single is decorated with black mourning crepe, the reverse of eachCDV is unmarked.Colorful post Civil War GAR postcard with an embossed design, handwritten message on the reverse and a cancelled stamp.A nice little lot of Civil War history.
