Original era photography. Seated, sepia image of Division commander Judson Kilpatrick who earned the sobriquet "Kill Cavalry", during the Civil War. In one incident, upon receiving orders from General Meade, Kilpatrick questioned the bravery of his new brigade commander BG Elon Farnsworth, who expressed concerns regarding Kilpatrick's order to charge Confederate Infantry positions at Gettysburg on the late afternoon of July 3rd 1863. Kilpatrick reportedly responded ""Then, by God, if you are afraid to go I will lead the charge myself."The charge was made, Farnsworth was killed, and many of his men were casualties. Old handwritten name at the bottom, with a penciled name on the reverse along with an old price mark.
