Original era manufacture. Polished steel socket bayonet, measuring 21 inches in overall length, with an 18 inch blade. Marked in tiny letters on the reverse side of the socket, are the letters C&Co (Collins & Company), and on the obverse side, an inspectors mark of the letter N. Overall the blade is very clean minor age staining but that is all. Of note, there is a post production modification on the front of the socket, in the form of a notched channel, I have no idea as to its intent, but it appears properly done. No scabbard.
