Original era manufacture. A complete example of the classic Confederate soldiers button, complete with its backing plate and shank loop. Field recovered, with a pleasing dark plum patina. Purchased as part of the collection of a 94 year old local WWII veteran, who collected Civil War memorabilia for most of his life.
