Original era manufacture. A well used example of brass with a pivoting metal plate on the top. Faint markings just below the pivot pin colt with heavy corrosion pitting around the pin. Missing the small screw stop. Cavities for a conical, and round ball projectile. Faint Colt markings visible on the steel plate.
