Original era manufacture. A Philadelphia Depot canteen bearing the makers name "Hadden, Porter & Booth Phila" on the spout which were produced under contract in August of 1863, and February 1864.The blue wool cover displays scattered wear but remains quite sound for its age, with its original linen shoulder strap intact. The original cork stopper is in place, now secured with a length of leather.
