Original period manufacture. Lead filled, stamped brass buckle with the "puppy paw" style studs instead of the later type arrowhead studs. Deep chocolate patina to the obverse, oxidized lead reverse. Pliable black leather belt, no oily finish, original brass support clip in place. Faint makers mark, well used adjusting holes.
