Original era photography. A period Civil War cdv taken in Mansfield Ohio, with two tax stamps on the reverse. A rather plain and simple image, of the head and shoulders of a Union soldier.Written on the bottom, in somewhat faded ink, is the following; Charles (or Charlie) Morse, Co. B 69th Rgt, Ohio Vol. Infy, 4th A.C.I checked online, via the Civil War Data Base for the 69th Ohio, and went through the roster looking for a soldier in Company B or G, whose initials were C. M.. Only one man filled the bill, Charles P. Morse, Company B, who enlisted in February of 1864, and was mustered out at Louisville in 1865.
