Original era photography. Clear image of a young officer with an ID written on the bottom edge of the CDV.The first letter of his name appears to be P, the second is rather indistinct, with the remainder of the inscription reading; "Clark, Davenport Iowa Sept. 1st 1865.This is quite likely Assistant Surgeon Prentiss B. Clark,who served in the 8th Iowa Infantry September 1861-February 1862, and again with the 2nd Iowa Infantry, March 1865-July 1865.
