Original era manufacture. Original polish 32 inch blade which runs straight and true with no issues. Minor scattered age staining, with no pitting, with a few nail catchers along it's length, more felt than seen. Unmarked ricasso save for a U.S. over 1862 and the letter D at the base of the spine. Original buff leather bumper at the base of the blade. Pleasing mellow patina finish to the single branch guard which is unmarked. Original leather wrapped grip bound with a single strand of twisted brass wire. Dent-free steel scabbard with two suspension rings, finished in a peppering of old cleaned corrosion and steel patina.
