Original era manufacture. Standard pattern M1840 Musicians Sword with the Ames name and manufacture year 1862 on the ricasso. Nice old patina finish to the brass guard and grip, with a bright steel patina finishto the blade with light staining along its length. Steel bodied scabbard displaying a mix of blue and steel patina finish, mellow brass patina to the drag and scabbard throat.
