Original era manufacture. A very clean 1840 pattern Musicians sword with original polish, 28 inch steel blade with very clear markings on the ricasso. No issues with the blade what so ever, just very nice original condition.Cast brass guard and grip with a pleasing brass patina finish. No issues.Black leather bodied scabbard with sound seam stitching and a brass throat and drag, no breaks or creases. Original red moroccan leather blade buffer at the base of the blade. This one has to be one of the nicest examples of this pattern sword we have ever offered. The only very minor flaw is that the quillon is slightly bent upwards, nicer than the one hanging on our wall.
