Original era manufacture. Standard pattern M1840 NCO Sword. Nice old patina finish to the brass guard and grip, with a very dark steel patina to the blade, which measures 32 inches in length.The blade runs fairly straight, with a wiggle in its length towards the tip, good temper remaining in the steel in spite of its dark finish. Honest old Civil War sword, the grip rattles a bit, no scabbard.
