Original era manufacture. A very sound, field recovered 1851 pattern Federal belt plate and keeper. These were dug together decades ago. Missing only the German silver wreath portions. The reverse of the Riker mount states that the recovery site was Remington Virginia, with an additional notation that the Brandy Station battlefield was nearby.Purchased as part of the collection of a 94 year old local WWII veteran, who collected Civil War memorabilia for most of his life.
