Original period manufacture. Black bridle leather scabbard in very sound condition, with a securely attached frog mounting 7 copper rivets. Clearly marked on the frog is WATERTOWN ARSENAL 1863. Intact scabbard body stitching, with a brass reinforced chape. Never oiled, not crushed or broken.
