Item #68590 : Original period manufacture. Smooth faced body, issue canteen as used in the American Civil War. Complete with it's original cloth shoulder strap, cork stopper and attaching chain. The wool covering is a dark brownish gray, showing soiling and age. The body has some shallow dents but sound.
