Original era manufacture. A very clean .58 caliber Springfield bayonet showing a near new finish to the steel. Original black leather scabbard with a riveted belt loop. The leather is very pliable for its age, original brass tip is intact, only the small teardrop point is missing. Purchased as part of the collection of a 94 year old local WWII veteran, who collected Civil War memorabilia for most of his life.
