Original era manufacture. Near new condition bright finished steel bayonet with a US proof on its ricasso. No rust or other damage. I placed this bayonet on the barrel of an 1864 .58 caliber Springfield and it fits just fine. Solid leather original scabbard with some scattered scuffing to its surface, brass tip missing. This bayonet would really be difficult to improve upon.
